The protective sheath is made of food-grade 316L stainless steel: all parts in contact with the process medium fully comply with hygienic standards.
Internal treatment of the stainless steel sheath is employed to protect the thermoresistance insert from chemical corrosion and mechanical damage.
The resistance thermometer complies with EN 60751 and is available in various accuracy classes; for the pharmaceutical and food industries, Class A accuracy is generally recommended.
Resistance temperature detectors typically use Pt100 elements, but Pt500 and Pt1000 grades are also available.
