The individual filaments are encased in a metallic flexible armor and insulated with a dense, high-temperature-resistant mineral powder.

Thanks to the excellent thermal conductivity between the thermocouple and the flexible sheath, armored thermocouples offer fast response and high accuracy. Their unique design also provides shock resistance and a long service life.
